Our Mission
Fault Line Theatre creates and produces socially relevant, character-driven plays for today’s audiences. By employing the best members of our artistic community, Fault Line Theatre strives both to challenge veteran theatergoers and welcome those new to the art form.
Fault Line Theatre is committed to creating a diverse artistic and administrative environment and is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified persons will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, or age.
Anti-Racism Statement
Fault Line Theatre stands in solidarity with the Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, AAPI, and Middle Eastern Communities in our industry, our city, and throughout our nation and our world. We recognize that the system is not broken, it is working exactly as it was designed. As a white theatre company we also recognize the ways in which we benefit from and are complicit in this broken system. We strive to be better and to grow more anti-racist with each day. It is our responsibility as storytellers, allies, and citizens to elevate and give space to the artists and voices who challenge the status quo and work to destroy the systems of oppression that allow racism and inequity to flourish.
Fault Line Theatre is small but mighty, and we will stay active, curious, and loud. We will create safe and inclusive spaces for our entire community of artists to work, grow, and experiment. We will listen, learn, and do our part to dismantle the ruling class, put an end to racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, white supremacy, and all forms of oppression.
Land & Labor Acknowledgment
Fault Line Theatre acknowledges that our work and our offices are based in New York City, which is Lenapehoking, the Lenape homeland. We honor all Indigenous Nations and their land with gratitude and humility, and we acknowledge the genocide and displacement of indigenous peoples here, across the country, and throughout the world. Fault Line Theatre also acknowledges the enslaved Africans whose labor built New York, and the exploited labor that extracts the resources and constructs the technology that gives us the freedom to work and play on a daily basis.
